Super Chillin - Wale vs. Stevie Wonder - Bangers

Sometimes I hear a song and think "I have to remember this so I can have a go at doing a mash up with it." that was the case with Wale's 'Chillin' - which I thought would suit a Motown track perfectly. It took a while for a good pella of Chillin to surface and then when it did, I found it hard to find a track to sit it with.
Then, via the blog universe I found the rather cool Todd Edit of Stevie Wonder's Superstition and one thing led to another and I've ended up with this - "Super Chillin'".
I'm releasing this under the name that most people know - Bangers.

I was just sitting here drinking a whiskey and eating a mini Crunchie bar and realised that it's been a while since I've posted anything. So, in the spirit of the Notting Hill Carnival, all those cool sound systems and everything else I've missed by being in Ireland, I give you an apparent Carnival classic.

Fly Robin Fly - Silver Convention

Silver Convention scored two major US hit singles. "Fly, Robin, Fly," of which the complete lyrics consisted of only six distinct words (Fly, Robin, Up, To, The, Sky), scored three weeks at #1 in 1975, and won the group a Grammy Award for Best R&B Instrumental Performance. Initially the song was titled "Run, Rabbit, Run", changed by the writers moments before the recording took place. Their next success "Get Up And Boogie", which also consisted of only six distinct words, scored three weeks at #2 in 1976.

Blackstreet & Ray Charles - What I Diggity Say - Mashup
I did this mashup of No Diggity [Blackstreet] and What'd I Say [Ray Charles] I did a few years ago.
At the beginning of this year I spent an afternoon (and a bottle of wine) creating this video.
In January, Claud Challe wanted to include it in his next Buddha Bar compilation, but the approval process was too hard.
Michael Jackson Breaks Free

It's still hard to believe Michael Jackson is dead.
He kinda almost made me believe he actually WAS Peter Pan, and would live forever.
So, here is Michael, Freddy and Belinda in a corker of a mash.

The Commodores 'Lady' Remix

While most of the popular blogs focus around new music for young people, this one focuses on new music for old people. As such, I'll be playing host to a lot of songs you have heard before, that are presented in a new light.
Whether they are remixes, mashups or re-edits, if it's a song you grew up listening to, it may well find it's way on here.
One such track is the Commodore's 'Lady (you bring me up)'. Remixed here by a lad called 'Dorky' - bad, bad name, but a pretty good track.

Welcome to Nude Disco. I hope you stick around and enjoy the music. First up is a mix I finished just recently that contains The Eagles' "One of these Nights" and Duffy's "Stepping Stone".
